I'm looking for a mitre/table saw for plenty of jobs around the house - lots of rennovations including all the skirting and kitchen carcases.

I'm pleased with my Makita jigsaw and this looks like a good mid-range mitre-saw - can anyone recommend this? or an alternative?

Thanks

Thanks Big-All.

Am I right in thinking that this wouldn't be able to mitre skirting above about 3.5" in height? but that I can use it to straight-cut anything up to about 3" x 5"?

Can anyone suggest an alternative that would allow a 45 deg mitre-cut on skirting up to about 5"?

Thanks
Simon

you can cut 45% flat on the bed of the saw and tilt the blade
5" skirting comes out at about 120mm as its capacity is 135 it will handle it easy but only up to about 45mm thick at 45%

indeed if you pad the bed up by about 12mm it would probably cut 6"skirting [comes out at about 147]
