Just a heads up, At the moment Makita are giving a free battery on certain products which can be claimed after purchase of a qualifying tool.
To qualify the model not only has to be on the list but also cannot be a bundle made up by the retailer.
Eg, bare tools usually have a “z” suffex and do not qualify,
tools with one set of batteries have “RT” and qualify but only if supplied in that bundle by Makita.
The problem is Knowing if the bundle is Makita supplied because some retailers are advertizing the products with the RT suffix but have made the bundle themselves so dont qualify.
I have just bought Duc254Rte chainsaw..which is saw+charger and two 5ah batteries for £320
Had I known about the promotion I could have bought a Duc254Rt, saw + charger + one
battery for £264 and claimed a free battery from Makita
