Manrose 12 v fan

Manrose 12v fan with transformer in the ceiling unable to access. Will a Vent Axia 12v fan work with the Manrose transformer? Any experiences of this?

Transformer does the timer run on function, with the fan a bare
bones 12v motor.

Most of these are 12v AC, so most ELV fans will be suitable. no guarantees!

BUT

the transformer should be accessible. At some point it will die, or you’ll want to adjust the timer. So you’ll need to access it. Now is the time to bite the bullet and sort it out properly.

The transformer is not accessible - cowboy installer/builder. If the transformer fails then a big job to replace with a 240v model or replace transformer, by maybe taking part of the ceiling down or diverting 240v wires using a mouse or whatever. It only needs a 240v model but a 12v was fitted, when there was no need adding extra complications.
