Marley Wessex Eaves Clips - How do I install?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but my brain can't compute how these clips are supposed to work?!

I've seen the universal eaves clips, which make sense as you fix to the fascia board and clip over the tile.

I assume the 'hook' at the bottom of this picture works in the same way, but then I can't figure out how the fixings at the top are fixed without leaving the bit that looks the shape of a stanley blade sitting proud?

I've searched over the net and I can't find any other pictures of details of how to install - so I'm hoping some of the capable folks on here can assist?

Ah ok, of course the tile isn't flat! Thanks, that's really helpful

No I just wonder how you fix the second nail which would be hidden by the tile. Do you fix the clip, then place the tile into it?
