We have just had a pitch roof installed as a replacement for the flat roof over the kitchen extension. One side of the extension was rendered and painted with white masonary paint the other side of the extension is plain brick.
On the rendered side the pitched roof has meant that the new triangle formed has needed rendering as well as it forms a continuation of the extension wall, the roofer has applied some render and painted it to blend in but in all honesty it sticks out like a sore thumb.
This is not a criticism of the roofer, he isn't after all a renderer, but I need some other render replacing at the front of the house and was considering asking the guys to replace the render on the pitch roof at the same time. Question is, is it possible to 'blend in' the new and old render or would it require the whole wall to be hacked off and re-rendered? or am I just being too fussy?
