Our older maytag fills up with an inch or two of water after its been sitting for awhile. Any ideas what the problem is? Bad Valve?? Any help would be great!
Several years ago our maytag washer used to fill up and stop when the lid was open, then a couple of hours later it started filling again, overflowing the washer. The first time we noticed it we were awake and caught it when the utility room and kitchen started to fill. The next time we were asleep and woke at 6am to flowing water. Our downstairs was full of water up to 2". The problem seemed to be some sort of timer and fill switch circuitry. Maytag repaired the washer and through insurance our home flooring was restored.
