Maytag washer has constant drip into drain pipe

I just recently moved into a new house and ever since then my Maytag washer has been steadily dripping into the drain pipe even when the machine is not on. This continues even if I don\\\'t use the machine for a few days. Anyone have any ideas? I\\\'m terrified that my water bills are going to be outrageous!
