Mcb rating

[Shift]

The following currently have either mcb's or wired fuses fitted to the ratings as below.
1. 2.5kw oven = 32a
2. 3kw immersion heater = 20a
3. 9.5kw shower = 32a

Are the ratings correct, nothings blown or tripped in 17 years.

 

[RF Lighting]

Depends on the cable size.
The fuse is to protect the cable not the appliance.

The 32A MCB is too small for your 9.5kW shower, but you must not uprate it without establishing the current carrying capacity of the cable.

 

[Shift]

The shower cables going to be uprated to 10mm ,the cooker and the immersion are 4mm.

The 32A fuse for this might be a rusty nail...best check it out
