Morning all

We have a UPVC back door, and the handles have clearly taken some stick from the previous owner of the house due to difficult operation of a stiff mechanism which has now been adjusted and eased. I want to replace these handles, but a bewildering array of different measurements confronts me. Could someone please list the crucial dimensions I need to take from the old lock in order to buy the new. I did buy one a few weeks ago but it turned out that the measurements I took weren't correct, and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

TIA
