I have dot and dabbed plasterboard to level the walls in our bathroom to refit it. I have read that if I want to tile I should mechanically fix. But what do I use? I have come across helical nails for insulated plasterboard fixes into brick. Would these do? Or is there anything else?

Thanks

Never done that before on normal plasterboard (have done for heavier cement board when dabbing it) so I'd debate whether it's necessary. Yeah you can get fixings or just pop a couple of screws into plugs.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to use hammer in fixings, seems to be used by a few.

I used frame fixings, and a large plasterboard washers like these
