Hi,

Please can someone help me.

Just got home from work to find my Megaflo drippin (in that black valve). I understand its a problem with pressure - however, there are so many pipes that I actually can't figure out what I need to do. Have called my plumber but he's on ansamachine.

Is it safe to wait for him to call me back in the morning or will the megaflo explode? It is only 4 months old and the plumber has all the correct tickets etc and it has been logged in with building regs - so all above board.

It is making more noise than it used to and the dripping is not visible but you get a wet finger if you put it in.

On the side of the cylinder there are instructions on how to recharge the expansion 'bubble' inside the cylinder. If you follow these you should find that your dripping stops with any luck.

The black valvey thing where you can see the dripping is the tundish

Above this you probably have a pipe which splits into two at at tee piece.
If you follow the one pipe to the cylinder- big white cylinder shaped thing that valve is the temperature and pressure relief valve. If you follow the pipe the other way you will most likely end up at the expansion relief valve. This usually forms part of what is called the inlet control group. On this group is the isolation valve. It is a black block of plastic. The isolation valve turns 1/4 of a turn to turn the water supply to the hot and maybe some of your cold taps off.

Hopefully this should be enough info for you to be able to follow the instructions on side of the cylinder
