merc slk mark1 alarm problem-keeps going off

it just keeps going off, have checked all doors and everything are shut and its in a garage so not the wind, any ideas how i can check it out?

probably a mercedes diagnostic check,is it a factory fitted alarm?

We had a Mitsubishi in our bodyshop with the same symptoms, turned out the battery was on its way out. Because the battery was running low the alarm system thought the battery drain was being caused by someone trying to start it!

it is factory fitted yep,
i wondered about the battery so gave it a bit of a drive at least to charge it, but i guess if its gone, its gone!
