Metal Roofing : Second Floor Terrace

Hi, I own a maisonette and thinking about putting a terrace at 2nd floor level, there is a kitchen at the first floor level with a pitched roof. Wondering if putting corrugated metal on a low pitch with a wooden deck above is a good long term solution which won't require re-roofing often and will take the wooden deck without damaging its waterproofness. Thinking about the areas that the wood would rest on the flat roof below.
Good idea or terrible idea ?
