No replies on the carpentry section so moving this to here. Hopefully will get some excellent advice here.
Old shed, weatherbeaten shiplap boards. Thinking about thin metal cladding sold on Amazon over top of boards. Means don't have to paint it again either cos I painting it today / tomorrow with ducksback and at 60yrs old, I am so sore all over.
Thinking something lie this vertically on the outside walls of the shed.

I need to use the thinest laths I can since I don't want the metal sticking out past the roof overhang.
Not sure if I can replace the boards cos they are 10ft long and at top of shed, and really stuck together by the paint.
