Metro tile brick bond advice

Hi all,

First time tiler. Decided to tile the kitchen after a fire destroyed the old one.

I need a bit of advice as to which layout I should use for the pipe which has been boxed in.

Do I ignore the bond on the arch, split each side of the boxing into half and brick bond? Or do I continue the bond from the archway? If so, how?

When I did this, I continued the bond around the box, but my tiles were a natural stone pattern so the joints werent very visible. With your tiles you may be best doing as you say, stop the bond and divide both sides of the box into 2.

thanks steve - got some advice from tilersforum and ended up doing the following
