I currently have Michelin Pilot Super Sport and wanted a couple more. They are unobtainable in my size apart from a few chains that have limited stock. I looked on Michelin's site and they no longer list that size and some others, perhaps they are discontinuing the range.

Michelin and the retailers now recommend Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S Reinforced, Asymmetrical

It seems to meet the same spec, but I see it is considerably cheaper. I wonder if this means it is not as good? The websites are just full of flannel.

I don't need extra-high mileage from this tyre, which is one of its features, but I've found it's better in use than the Pirelli Zero or the Dunlop Sport Maxx. It's for summer-only.

anybody know?

Looks like a bargain. Five years ago the Supersports cost me £315 each, the new Pilot Sport is only about £170.

Hope it's as good.

edit
if the comparative bar charts in your link are to be believed, it is stupendous.
