we have just moved in this house and had a check by B gas, half of the radiators are microbore and half are what ever the normal ones are (sorry woman!!!) the man from british gas said microbore was basically rubbish, and as we are about to do our bathroom and change the radiator i thought we might as well get rid of the micro bore stuff.

Also sorry guys, but is it easy to remove a radiator for decorating when its a micro bore as the gas man said you shouldn't as they break easily (apparently the thin tube inside the radiator can bend/break)

Yes you can increase to 15mm where it comes through the floor. You cant use twin entry valves anymore on new rads so get two new rad valves aswell.
