Having trouble with this.

Accidently got removed from my laptop . So have found the orginal disk to re-install but doesn't wanna work. It wont run automatically and clicking various things the furthest i can get it if i select SETUP is 'preparing to install' which then disapears and nothing else happens.

Also if i click D:\MSWORKS\INSTMSIA.EXE which i assume is install I get ''wrong OS or OS version for application''

Mean anything to anyone?

The reason it got deleted in the first place was because the laptop was running painfully slow!

Also im only after Excell but to repurchase is gonna cost about £70.

I dont mind paying an expert but thought id give a go first.

Try openoffice. Its bloomin close to MS's and free

Funny, I thought Excel was part of MS Office not MS Works?

it is. But he wants excel as well but doesn't want to pay the £70. Hence my suggestion.
