Hello Everyone, I just joined this forum as I am looking for some help, I have a fault with a Miele G1142 sci dishwasher
(8 years old) It will start and take on water as normal, start the pre wash cycle, after about 5 mins the top three lights start to flash all together and it pumps the water out to waste, after the water is out it will not proceed any further and the lights continue to flash. If anyone has any experience of this fault or what to check, I would be very grateful.

Rob.

When you turn it back on, does it start to drain straight away?

If so, this is typical response to a leak.

In the bottom of most dishwashers is a tray. This will fill up with water if there is a leak. Within this tray is a little polystyrene float, which, given enough water will begin to float and trigger a switch. This switch tells the dishwasher to stop and pump out all the water as there is a leak.

It is intended to save your kitchen from impending doom.

However, the leak could be very small and built up over a long time, or it could be a new leak.

I just serviced two bosch dishwasher which had a similar issue. They are now working perfectly as the leaks were caused buy a build up of gunk.

If you can, pull the dishwasher out, remove the lid and the side panels, set it to run, and watch. The water inlet tanks are usually down the sides and can be the most common area for a fault to develop.

Check the section for the miele. It is only a brief section.

Most of the youtube videos are terrible for the Miele Guides.
