MIELE TUMBLE DRYER T8402C

Hi, I have seen some old threads on here regarding the problem I have, but no dryer was the same as my model. After a short while on any programme, the machine continues to tumble but makes a continuous buzzing. I have tried it on timed 30 minute drying, but it does the same. It does work however on the timed cool programme. I have tried to get it to service mode as instructed elsewhere and it flashed between "drying" and "cool air". I checked it again a minute ago and now the light on the start button flashes really quickly and nothing flashes on the main lights. Thank you for any help.

where is the buzzing coming from?

the mech timer most probably, located immediately behind the control panel

Thank you for reply, it is the noise it makes when it has finished drying, but continuous. It only runs for a short time on any programme and starts buzzing when the clothes are still wet.

is the buzzing coming from the top control panel or at the base plate somewhere?

i think the buzzing in your case is the mech timer. really need to find the exact part thats buzzing to troubleshoot further.

Make a video of the buzzing. It could be from anywhere. It could be something stuck in the fan.

Thank you both - my husband took the back off and vacuumed out, and cleaned out some gunge around the condenser. It is running at the moment, and not stopping early and making continuous buzzing, fingers crossed. I think there was mention of a NTC on the earlier threads, that will be the next stop if all fails.
