if your house insurance does not have accidental damage then DO NOT break off the knob on the front of the machine when moving it through a door.

Miele just quited me £380 for a new one!!!

not a new washing machine - just the control panel module the switch os moulded into. Silly design really not being able to replace just the switch which would only cost about 50 pence.

I managed to turn a metal sheath to join the broken shaft of the knob - sounds a bit rude that

Good quality machine though, and to be fair, this is misuse!
