Mira electric thermostatic shower

Hi, My neighbour had a new bathroom fitted and gave me this shower. We have a Triton 8.5kw Electric shower fitted at the moment but its starting to intrmittently switch itself off while running. Can anyone please tell me....

1) Can I simply just change the unit over or will the water have to come from a tank?

2) Will the existing 6mm cable be sufficent?

The shower will probably be mains fed. Check the manual.

I think you can use 6mm cable up to around 15 metres but you should consult the Electrics forum for a definitive answer.
