When I turn on my shower I am most likely to get the low pressure warning light come on and only a trickle of water from the shower head. By jiggling with the on/off switch which has settings for cool,low and high temperature the shower eventually functions correctly but this can sometimes take several minutes. Is there something simple repairable wrong with this shower or does it simply need replacing. Any ideas

Not being funny, but have you tried cleaning the shower head?

These can sometimes get scaled up which restricts the water flow, causing the elements to over heat.

You could try running the shower with the shower head unscrewed from the end of the hose and see wether is starts functioning correctly.

maybe an issue with supply water pressure?

or more likely the water flow rather than pressure
