Hi all,

New to the site and would appreciate some advice. I am about to start some major work on my new house extension and am looking to buy a sliding compound mitre saw and looking at the draper 250mm slider or the ryobi 254mm slider which one would you recommend or another, my budget is approx £200.

Cheers

if you cant find or afford the dewalt at £240 or £300 i would suggest the ryobi
i have several bits of ryobi as my back up kit and it is realy good value for money at around 40% of the price of big boys toys i have [dewalt and bosch] i rate ryobi as diy and light to medium trade and easily able to do 80% of the dewalt or bosch

I bought a MAC 10" sliding compound saw from B&Q in January having borrowed a Makita a few days earlier and I'm extremely happy with it. If you need to do compound cuts, it tilts both ways. It's also got a handy little laser guide. For about £145, I think it was a bargain!

The thought of a bargain got the best of me, so bought a ex demo draper 250mm slider from Ebay for £110.
Working pretty good so far.
