Mixer shower HELP PLEASE!!

Hi all, i have a problem with the mixer shower. I think its the pump but not really sure. when i put the shower on it is either freezing cold or scolding hot. there is no in between. The flow to the shower is fine and we have both hot and cold water coming through.

We have just moved into the house so no idea how old it is or anything. i know this is kind of vague but any help in the right direction would be a life saver.

what make is the mixer shower? the most common installation error is the hot and cold the wrong way round but it depends on what shower mixer you have.

if it's thermostatic the cartridge might be shot

or as picasso says reversed connections

bit more info would help

how long have they had running water in the boro

how do i find out the make of the shower? will this be on the pump in the loft? as i have just moved in i know little/nothing about this. what info would you need?
