mixer tap problem

hi i have a mixer tap and the hot water keeps dripping and making a noise but the colds is fine what is the problem ?

check the cartridge/tap washer.

where you turn the tap on will have a cartridge/tap washer that is letting by.

sounds like you have a cartridge mixer.
you'll need to isolate and remove the cartridge.

The tap has a lever up for cold and down for hot, do i pull the lever off to get to the cartridge?

there may be a concealed screw or pin, all makes differ so if you know the manufacturer you may be able to download a tech sheet to help.
