Mixer Vavle and speedfit/Hep20

Can plastic pipe be used to connect supplies to thermostatic mixer vavles or does the 'final' connection have to be copper.
Also on the same plastic pipe subject can they be used on combination boilers for supply of the hot and cold feeds. ie, able to withstand mains pressure?

We have a combi boiler and you are fine using the HEP pipe but you have to switch to copper for the last 1m before connecting to the boiler.

Don't know about the speedfit stuff as never used it, I swear by HEP.
