Mixing up BAL Single Part Flexible

I'm a novice so am low on confidence.

I've been mixing up this adhesive for what seems an age. It's quite thick but still not able to hold it's weight when the trowel is held vertical.

Do i keep adding powder until it's thick enough to do this?

Yeah keep adding powder and it'll firm up. It'll never be as firm as pre-mixed adhesive so it's harder to get on the wall without it first landing on your shoes. You've gotta be a bit quicker. ;)
Try and get it mixed quickly as the curing process will be under way when mixing and will reduce your working time a little. Don't be afraid of adding a lot of powder in one go. A cheap paddle mixer can be had for less than a fiver and will make the job easy.
