Hello Sparkies

Working on a refurb and house has been rewired and MK faceplates used for sockets and tv aerial. Owner wants data cable to each room and sited alongside socks and aerial. Problem is MK don't appear to do a faceplate for rj45 data so need another make .

Anyone know of a make to match mk colour as it will stick out like a sore thumb.

Cheers

If main coulour is right wont be so bad with different white in the middle.

Cheers

Replace existing sockets & aerial outlets etc with one of these in each location:

I've seen those (in the catalogue, not in real life), and I've seen the price
What bothers me is that with such a huge plate, there's so much cable you've got to disturb to get at anything (ie to work on the data you have to disturb the mains and so on) - and it'll be difficult to "turn the plate round" to see the back when it's that big.

Yes the key word is "Euromodule" - as long as the inserts are Euromod then they'll fit. I do this at work when installing data cabling and want to match the sockets etc - find out what range the sockets are, and buy the Euromod plates from that range and fit data modules from my usual suppliers. Not the cheapest method by far, but gives a neat result.

Oh yes, if the customer want to cut the price down a little, then CEFs RPP(?) range has an M2(?) style that looks very similar to the MK ones, but is a fraction of the price. ? marks as I'm going entirely from memory here.
Top edge is almost identical, but the M2 has a symmetric rounding on the bottom edge while the MK has a straight face and squarer bottom edge.

there was a picture on an ebay listing for one of these a while ago, have never used one myself, but seems it has a built in loom for the socket outlets to get around this problem - I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will correct me
