Hi all

Relative just moved into a new house, central heating seemed to work for first few hours but then wouldn't stay on. LED flashes to suggest no heat being called for and heating in standby, timer on constant. Thermostat in hall is okay and works. Radiators all get hot won't stay on.

How water works all the time. If the boiler is reset it will then fire up and work for a short time. Sometime minutes, sometime longer.

Pump is set on full speed and is working.

Initial thoughts is that the boiler thinks it's up to temperature even though it's set to max.

Other threads suggest maybe the thermistor?

It will be serviced ASAP but is there anything obvious it could be??

Thanks all.

Have you looked at pressure gauge? could be low pressure, should be at 1.5 bar or thereabouts. if it`s low you will get the red flashing light, boiler will go into overheat then shut down.
