Hi,
Hoping someone can help and avoid me getting into a contract I don't really want.
I moved into a house and inherited the above alarm system, which was working for a while but now has the Sr code flashing. Before this was flashing it was flashing Bf and kept going off inside the house at all hours, which I believe is telling me to replace the battery. However at the time I was too busy to get it sorted so, turned the main house power off and disconnected the wires on the key panel so it was no longer working.
The other day I reconnected as I invited ADT to come round and inform me of my options. They looked around the house and said they could power it back up, but I'd have to enter into a 3 year contract at £20 per month just for maintenance with no monitoring. Monitoring would require an upgrade and one off cost of appx £450 and then £26 per month.
My question is, if I only want a bells only system is there anyway of replacing the battery in this system and powering it up without being tied in to monthly charges?
Cheers
Jon
