MoesGo to replace Sunvic programmer and eclipse thermostat

I was planning on purchasing a hive/nest to replace my sunvic programmer. A friend recommended the MoesGo thermostat saying it was a cheaper option. I purchased the moesgo as it was on offer for Black Friday before actually doing my research( I will learn one day) will this actually replace my controller or do I need something else?
