This is a 30 year old property that I have recently bought. Unfortunately the prtevious owners have probably left their patio doors open to the rains and there is a post wet drying/ cracking and discoloration of around 1.5 feet/10feet area. I was hoping if someone could share their wisdom on how this could be repaired. The floor is probably 30 years old but had been carpetted over and therefore discovered recently.

Hi

I presume the spot is black/grey? If so, bad luck. The moist has gone deep into the wood and it will be very hard to sand that out.
Best way could be to replace that spot with (reclaimed) wood.
Is it in a pattern like herringbone, or is it a plank floor?
