im running a dehumidifier in a room without a ceiling and wanted to ask if the moisture from outside would be drawn in through the felt ,battens and tiling,i have all windows and doors shut .
it's certainly a possibility although moisture could be coming from the walls or the "living" in the house ie showers/cooking.
i believe you would need to convert to a "hot" roof from the "cold" roof you have (or should still have) at the moment. this means putting insulation between the rafters whilst maintaining an air gap between the insulation and the felt all the way from the eaves to the ridge.
