Mold and damp behind kitchen cupboard

Can anybody help with this? Our external render has started to bubble and peel off. After reading online a suggestion was that moisture may be trapped or condensation. With no force at all, the wall at the back of the cupboard started to come off. The brickwork is damp and almost sand like. Also smells very musty. Thanks in advance

Do you have a leak

Hi, not I can see no. We did have a major leak not too long ago though. Could it be trapped in from that?
