Mondeo 2001 handbrake

Hi

I have just replaced my rear discs and pads and one of the handbrake cables snapped ao I replaced both of them and adjusted it with the adjuster under the car under the heat shield but still have no handbrake any ideas wat it could b?

After you put new pads in, press the brake pedal a dozen times to allow the piston to adjust and bring the pads lightly into contact with the disc.
The handbrake operating levers need to be well back on their stops after this.
Now, connect the handbrake cables, adjust them and see if you have similar pulling effort on each wheel.
