More good news for all of us.

Arrival...

Russian funded, and UPS taking an 'undisclosed investment' in the company...

Also Hyuyndai and Kia investment

"Arrival also rejects the standard production line in favour of using robots", meaning the production centres employ about 40 to 100 people.

And minimal UK production centre involvement , since New Jersey and an EU mainland site are being favoured...

So good news 'for us all' eh?

A few UK jobs and any profits going overseas!

Good news for Roberts perhaps though

PS. Since apparently we are to be 'non aligned' with the EU, how do you expect any exports to our biggest market to pan out?

Well I suppose if we can still buy their Citreons then they can buy our electric vehicles???

No?

Tell me, what device are you using to access the internet these days? I remember in the past you also talking about your LG TV, your Humax receiver and your Fire Stick 4K. Were they all made in the UK using good old British manual labour by any chance?

Which kind of makes my point

What do we actually produce in this country nowadays, and where do the profits go?

We are a service based economy that gives us no muscle flexing ability in any negotiations...

If/when we lose financial passporting, then austerity is but the 'hors d'oeuvres'!

Sad how flybe gets a tax deferment deal but norton doesn't!

But it just goes to show the fallacy that a few UK jobs that will mainly benefit foreign investors is apparently 'good news', when on the same day a similar number of a UK based firm's jobs are lost!
