More Rubbish from the Council.

This would probably not stand on appeal

Sometimes planners are coerced by crumbly local councillors

They don't understand. It's exactly the same conversation as when the conservation officer makes you fit Victorian moulded skirtings into a 17th century coaching house.

Looks fairly pink before... I don't know how the council think they can predict what shade of pink it was originally before it faded, or what shade of pink it will fade to now..... Busy bodies with nothing better to do I guess.

I wonder if the council have dictated a particular shade, if not, what's to stop them enforcing again if she gets it wrong?

The problem with listed buildings - and to a lesser extent, conservation areas - is where to draw the line.
One could understand it if the owner had put uPVC patio doors in it, but colour is, literally, superficial.
We may not necessarily like the shade of pink, but it will weather in time.
Conservation officers sometimes get too precious about these things.
