Need your help please guys.

Customer has bought some 2inch mosaic stone tiles from the dreaded B&Q, for laying in downstairs cloakroom. I've laid large stone tiles before but never mosaics.
Generically are the mosaics strong enough to support the toilet pan, or should I tile round?
Also, do I need specialist adhesive and grout ?

Many thanks

your choice.

tile round harder but you can make a cardboard template

under the pan, all pipes will have to be raised* to acomodate new height

* if its a close coupled pan cistern will have to be raised too

if it isnt down pipe will have to be shortened

Thanks Breezer.
My concern is whether the tiles can support the pan - your answer indicates that they can.
Flexi-connectors will handle the change in height.

Thanks again...

Use a white powdered adhesive to reduce the risk of the stone being stained, and use a smaller notch trowel than you normally wood. Seal the stone before & after grouting.

Thanks guys.

Tiled under, ensured level (which was the tricky bit), sealed tiles before to make grouting easier..

Lovely job - thanks for your help folks !
