I'm not sure that he means the fly killer, more over the annoying noise that annoys the brats & they go away.

If so, I tried it by using an MP3 from the web of the sound, played through the PC or via a CD player it seemed to do the job, my kids screamed & ran away at least.

Ordinary speakers are not really upto the job, Mosquito ones are for higher frequencies but if anyone fancies making one, an MP3 player & a tweeter type horn (of the correct frequency band) fitted in an old floodlight housing can do the job well enough & a damn site cheaper.. lol

Cheers Chri5 it is the anti jobbo one

Found that web site that is extortion!!!

Thanks anyway

play them a selection from your Cliff Richard albums.

Wouldn't the Cliff Richard option be a breach of the Human Rights Act 1998?

Article 3
Prohibition of torture
No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment

Went in a public convenience in Stratford (E London) once. It had classical music playing at high volume in it :D

Under the noise regulation (or whatever) act, such noise producing brat repellents can only be used for 20 minutes at a time, with an hour break between.

Out of interest, I find 15KHz works well.

When a mosquito is fitted, it is fitted with a "doorbell" type switch, that makes it sound for 20 minutes, but it wont come on again for an hour afterwards.

HA! thats easily bypassed... lol

Oh the wonders of older age :D

thats true, but then if you get paid to fit it, and x happens, so what. You have done everthing correct and been paid

x being something that has nothing to do with you
