I've just replaced the pitched roof on my house with medium format concrete tiles. The north facing old roof was covered in heavy moss which I dont want on the new roof as this was one of the causes of problems in the first place.
Is there anything I can put on the roof to stop the moss from comming back. I've heard that a strip of copper pipe on each side of the ridge will help stop build up as it reacts with the rain water to make copper sulfate which then runs down the tiles. Is this true? or is there anything else that will do the job.

That's true about the copper, either pipe or wire (which is less noticeable), alternatively just a yearly spray with a herbicide will keep it clear
