Hi

I'm trying to install PIR motion sensor in 2 different places in my house. One in landing area where there is only one light. However, in our hallway there are 2 lights with 2-way switches. I'm confused with the wiring of which wire connects to which and all the wiring is concealed. I've attached the sensor picture for reference. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, yes... but there is only one light and not many wires and in the hallway i see extra wires....

I am not sure PIRs on stairs are a good idea but that aside, how do you want the PIR to work?

Are you going to do away with the switches? If not, how do you think a PIR will work with two-way switching?

The one installed in in landing area near the light and switch is kept in ON position and taped so that no one can turn it off. As soon as a motion is detected, the light turns on. Same way i want to use the sensor in downstairs hall way. we always forget to turn off the lights and sometimes lights stay on whole night. I believe the best solution for this is to put a motion sensor. Switches will be there but wont be used anymore.

Looks like you know nothing. if you cant help, just keep quiet and stop being rude to people and I think you are the one to learn some manners.
