I'd argue it's a fantastic way. Gap under the door + open window = powerful natural ventilation.
On EFL's point regarding bleach on mold, it is actually a brilliant way to kill it. If it's left on the mold overnight by the morning it's all gone. It might smell a bit but it kills ALL of it and can just be washed away.

Never had that happen. Open the window and the warm, moist air is out within the hour. If air is being pushed into the room from outside just block the bottom of the door.
