I recently had a kitchen extension done that has a double layer of kingspan insulation on the inside. The other Kingspan is one of those combined insulation and plasterboard ones.

I need to mount a 20kg TV on this. There are two screws, so that should average to 10kg per screw. But I want to play well within safety margins, as I don't want the TV dropping on any children's heads. As the plaster is backing onto insulation, there is no actual cavity. Can I still use a wall anchor for this? My guess is the anchor would shred through the insulation, to grip onto the plasterboard. Is this correct and is it ok?

Also which anchor is best? Is there much of a difference between brands and styles?

Or should I only be considering something that will anchor onto the brick behind the double layer of insulation?

No - the toggle type need space for the wings to spring open once in the hole before they can be pulled back to the plasterboard.

If the TV going on a swivel bracket or just mounting on the wall surface?

PS - it's always worth using a UK website - the links you've posted are to american ones and use american specification and weights/sizes.

I prefer to use Toggle Bolts different sizes for different weights, they can be cut down to allow for the space behind the boarding to ensure the springs open fully.
If you can drill into the Brickwork behind the boarding then you could use Wall Anchor Bolts

No swivel. There are two screws, that mount two disks on the wall. A Metal wires hangs between the two disks and then the TV has two small wheels that sit ontop of the wire.

As per title, it's kingspan insulation, so no toggle bolts.

Looks like it's expanding anchor only. Will two of these have more than enough margin of safety?

These might be worth a try

Although to be honest the mounting of a 20kg TV hanging on a piece of wire doesn't sound like the best system I've come accross!
The the samsung factory provided solution, so that side doesn't worry me. Mostly I want to make sure the plaster doesn't disintegrate and the bolts come out.

I found this, gives the performance of each Fischer item:

Looks like a meta expanding anchor is good for 20kg. With the weight distribution I should be good, I think.

Hoping you're still watching this topic mdproctor as I am in exactly the same situation, dot and dab insulated plasterboard, 70mm from surface to brick using the exact same mount as you (IBRA version from amazon)

TV is also just under 20kg, was going to use M5 intersects similar to these http://www.screwfix.com/p/easyfix-hollow-wall-anchors-8-16mm-m5-x-52mm-10-pack/12229 but a little worried about just two screws 20cm apart. Did you use these? Did you use the setting tool and did it expand into the presumably fairly rigid insulation?
What did you end up using?

My TV is still sitting on the floor - too much DIY, so that's at the back of the queue. However I did decide on this product:

It looks like it will be the most secure and will not put as much pressure on the plaster. They do recommend you get the specialist drilling tool, to properly fit them. Basically it's a wide plug (to spread the downward pressure), with two wide flap out arms. You need to get the correct one for the size of your screw.

Interesting... The brackets on mine take an M6 screw max so would be the 20mm version, 20mm is a very big hole though. Stocked in wickes and screwfix so might pick some up tomorrow

Starting to look like I have double thickness plasterboard at 16mm each so the hollow wall anchors are probably out.

So with those framing screws is it just a plastic rawlplug in whatever it is behind the boards then just screw the bracket up to the face of the board? Wouldn't it pull the board into the wall? And is nothing supporting the screw at the head end?
