Hi,

I'd like to mount this wine rack to the wall, but I'm not sure how to go about it or whether it's such a good idea!

Fully loaded it'll weigh 120kg. Ideally it'll be 40cm off the ground (as there's a socket to clear) and angled backwards so the base is 22cm away from the wall (so the bottles sit right - it's designed originally as an A frame - this is just one side).

The wall is plasterboard over lightweight block, but I don't think it's dot an dab, I think the plasterboard is one span across a stud at each edge.

Best idea I have is a pair of brackets like this https://www.themetalbracketcompany....uty-scaffold-bracket-30x6mm-steel-clear-gloss attached with these https://www.screwfix.com/p/corefix-...ot-dab-wall-fixings-10mm-x-95mm-24-pack/344hg below. I'd attach it to the wall at the top to stop it falling forward (but it's be difficult to spread the weight to brackets at the top).

Can't help thinking that just won't be up to the job though given the substrate, the weight and the distance of the bottom edge from the wall.... and my alternate plans of constructing a stand (sort of mocked up in the picture) would be an all round better idea so the weight sits on the floor itself.

Any advice welcome! How would you do it?

Horizontal Flat steel , or aluminium bar screwed to each vertical at top and bottom at rear then mount this thru the holes to wall.

That is a good shout actually, you can buy aluminium french cleat pairs in lengths, but how to handle the angle such as it leans backwards?

Simple 4x2 on edge hidden behind lower section would give a sloping frame ?
