I'm looking to have a stove installed within a chimney, no combustible materials can be mounted within the chimney (plasterboard is apparently classified as combustible)

The sides and back of the chimney have been skimmed with sand and cement, I'm looking to install hardiebacker where the flue meets the exhaust pipe for the stove.

Does anyone have ideas of installation? I was thinking a metal quadrant could work?

Cheers - I have the sealing plate.

I picked up a length of aluminium angle and attached it to the wall on either side. I should be able to pilot and attach the hardiebacker to them using drywall screws.
