More info needed...

A few meters?? To the floor above, across the wall, into another room??

Isolator?? Where is that?? What type is it??

SWA, for 2m?? LOL!! ............probably a tad overkill.

A photo paints a thousand words, if you can upload us one.

the meter is at the top of the downstairs wall, the new CU will be above to the side (bout 1M from the floor and 2M to the side upstairs). there is an isolator between the meter and CU

I have to agree with everyone here.

Insulting people gets you absolutely nowhere, and only serves to show you up.

You have got the hump over nothing. Pro sparks on DIYnot are more than willing to help, but as has been said here before, they would like the full facts before giving out advice. It is only sensible - we cannot make a decision on what the best course of action is without knowing the exact situation.

Pictures help a great deal.
