hi we are hoping to convert integral garage to a room the boiler is placed on wall of 1 skin brick garage wall as the wall needs to be 2 skin or timber framed with insulation cavity i think we need to have the boiler moved ,
either placed back on same wall after 2 skin is completed or moved to the 2 skin brick wall next to where boiler is now which is approx 60 inch to left ,
if we get a plumber to move the boiler do we require/get corgi registered an a gas certificate ,for the move,
just query as build regulations we are just about to apply for to come view before we start .
thanks

Moving a boiler requires a gassafe engineer not a plumber. If your plumber is not registered then he cannot move a boiler. Removing the flue may be troublesome and depending on the boiler may not be available as a spare. You don't say boiler model.

thanks for your answer weve anephew whos a cogi registers gas fitter /plumber does heating but weve not yet asked him as hes working in london at moment ,
was just a question to see if its an easy job too thanks

Corgi ceased to be the registration body for gas engineers in 2009. Being Corgi Registered means nothing at all any more. You need a Gas Safe Registered engineer

It sounds like a reasonably simple job, but as 45years has said it depends on what the situation is with the flue
