Hi guys, hope you can help.

My ADE Accenta+ Gen 3 Keypad was fitted some years ago by a fitter who is no longer in the business.

I need to move the panel a few inches to position a mirror on that wall.

Can I just open the panel and resite it. Or do i need to turn alarm off completely. If so how do I do that.

Thanks for your help

tsp do you have the engineers code for the alarm If not try pressing PROG 9999 and see if the tamper light is lit or the attack light is lit,if one of these lights are lit then you can open the control panel up after you turn the mains power off,
If neither of them light up then you will have to open the control panel up but before you do turn the mains power off, Now open the control panel up and the alarm will go off just put your code number in should stop the alarm, you will be lucky if their is enough cable for you to move the panel but you will have to see maybe by chasing the plaster out you will get what you need to move it, if you feel confident enough you can unclip the control board from the housing and lower it down enough to get at the screws that screw it to the wall, but remember that the 12 volt battery is still supplying power to the control board, you will only get an hour or so before the battery runs low and the outside bell box may go off, so get everything ready before you start, When you have finished if the battery has not run low then put the cover back on the control panel and press reset and the alarm should be ok, don"t forget to switch the mains back on when you finish

Hi Thanks for that.

I pressed PROG9999 and the TA Light went on. Yet when I switched of the power the outside alarm immediately sounded and I couldnt turn it off until I turned on the power and put in the code.

yes ""what you will have to do then is get hold of a new battery from a local electrical wholesaler it is probably the origanal so it needs changing any way, GET A 2.1 OR A 2.6 AMP HR so if you get a new battery then you can press PROG 9999 and open the control panel up and change the battery leave the mains on until you have changed the battery, BUT BE CAREFULL AROUND THE MAINS ELECTRICITY KILLS, AND THEN YOU CAN FOLLOW THE PREVIOUS INSTRUCTIONS good luck baz
