mower chassis help

Qualcast quad trak 45 petrol mower, the chassis has rusted and split
my question is could i take the engine off the broken mower and put it on a
Qualcast 40P chassis

I don't think you'll get many certain replies with this one, but the only thing I know is that the position of the engine bolt down holes is the same.
After that its pulley sizes to compare, and crankshaft diameters if you have to change them.

its more important that the length of the crankshaft is the same so that the blade sits a the same height as it would in the 45 chassis. if there is any height difference you might get away with it and just loose some adjustment on the cutting height or buy a longer or shorter blade boss on ebay.
